What we put it on
A short list of a long onePick the blank, pick the placement. Front panel, side, back strap, under-brim — stitch as many as you want on one cap.
How the job runs
4 stepsNo surprises. You see a proof before anything runs, and you approve it before we cut a single piece.
-
Step 1 / 4
Pick the blank
Tell us the look — structured or soft, mesh or solid, rope or plain — and we'll send back three or four blanks that fit the budget.
-
Step 2 / 4
Digitize for a cap
Cap embroidery runs on a curved surface from the centre out. It needs its own stitch file, so we build one — 3D puff or flat, your call.
-
Step 3 / 4
Approve the sew-out
We stitch a real cap and photograph it front-on and at an angle so you can see how the puff sits. Thread numbers included.
-
Step 4 / 4
Run and ship
Shipped nationwide, or ready for pickup in Dayton. Reorders run straight off the file.

Send us artwork
Before we can proofCap embroidery is less forgiving than flat goods — the surface curves and the seam runs up the middle. Here's what makes it work.
File types
Vector preferred — AI, EPS, or outlined PDF. 300 dpi PNG on a transparent background is usually workable for a simple front mark.
Front-panel size
A front panel gives you roughly 4.5 inches wide by 2.25 inches tall on a structured cap. Wide horizontal logos suit caps; tall stacked ones fight the crown seam.
3D puff rules
Puff needs bold, closed shapes — block letters and thick strokes. Thin script, small text and fine detail should stay flat stitch. We'll mark which parts go which way.
Thread colours
Matched to Madeira numbers and confirmed on your proof. Tell us the cap colour early — thread reads differently on dark crowns.
Questions we get
5 answersWhat's the difference between 3D puff and flat?
Flat stitch lies on the fabric. 3D puff is stitched over a foam layer so the letters stand up off the cap. Puff photographs better on bold block type; anything fine or scripted should stay flat.
Can I do a different logo on the front and the side?
Yes. Front, both sides, back strap and under-brim can each carry a different mark. Each placement is digitized and priced separately.
Can you match my exact brand colour?
Close, not exact. Thread comes in fixed colours — we match to the nearest Madeira number and show you the match on the sew-out before we run a hundred of them.
Do you sell single caps?
Yes, at sample pricing. It's the right way to check a blank and a stitch-out before you commit to a full run.
Can I use my own caps?
Yes. Send spares, and note we can't warranty a blank we didn't source.
